“You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

“You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.” – Christopher Columbus

This has never been more true for me than now. I keep telling myself this and meditate on it every day. You can never cross the ocean until you cut strings with the custom. You can never continue building something new until you deem no place for convention and familiarity. Until you are not only comfortable, but thrive in uncertainty. There is a reason it’s new, there is a reason it’s valuable, there is a reason you are taking the leap of imagination, determinedly moving into unchartered territories with nothing but an undying vision.

Because while you’re crossing the ocean, you’re setting a trail for others. A trail to new opportunities, a trail to freedom, a trail that pushes humanity to unprecedented lengths.

Your courage is their hope, your discoveries are their possibilities, your vision is their faith.

So Dream on

Tread on.

Quest on.
